TimeOut

Concert and a relaxing vacation

Just wanted to share some pics from my recent vacation.  We started the weekend in Vegas, our casino host hooked us up with some fantastic tickets to a private balcony for a concert of my favorite band Garbage.  They are celebrating their 20 year tour and I was so excited to see them.

The Garbage concert was hosted at the Cosmo Boulevard Pool area, with a full house crowd.  Our view was spectacular!

Shirley Manson on stage smile

They sounded amazing and the crowd was really enjoying the music.

It was a great concert and we stayed up all night and had an early flight out the next morning on our private charter to Florida where we spent the next 8 days aboard the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas cruise ship.  It's a fairly large ship at over 4000 passengers, and used to be the worlds largest ship until the Oasis class was built.  Here's a few pics from the cruise.

We made a stop in St. Maartin and had a fun time at the Kon Tiki Beach Club at Orient Beach.  It was so awesome that MGM/Mandalay Bay provided us with all the beach activities like jet skiing, parasailing, windsurfing, and kayaking.  Great drinks and food too while we sat in our lounge chairs.  Weather was beautiful.

Back in our stateroom, we found some critters that would sneak into our room smile

Next stop was in St. Kitts.  We were invited to the Marriot Royal Beach Casino.  This was a nice property and reminded me of the Hilton Hawaiian Village.  Grabbed a pina colada and headed for our cabana.

Weather was nice but hot.

Back in our room, more treats from our hosts at MGM/Mandalay Bay.  Nice touch!

In the main dining room, the food was pretty good.  And our server brought me some pistachio ice cream! smile

Another critter in my room hanging around.

Our casino hosts goofing around, not sure why the costumes because it's not Halloween yet, but was pretty funny!

Ice and fruit carvings from the dining staff at Windjammer buffet.

The sushi area with some cute decorations.
