But I would say at least a high level of customization.... Sufficient enough that no other example of that product will be tangibly alike. I agree with you completely, sunglasses are simply not an item that I would go bespoke with, because they are too easy to lose, and I thus don't see long-term value in paying the price of bespoke in that category. Another great analogy you mentioned are ties, I have two which were fully custom made for me - a product that is tremendous value from a bespoke service perspective in my experience....
