Classic litterature

My preference is classic literature, and I find "Vanity Fair" (1848) by William Makepeace Thackeray quite interesting keeping the present culture of influencers and their hunt for fame and so on in mind. Also Thackeray, "The Virginians" (1859) could be seen as a go at a.o. early trans-antlantic cultural prejudice.  The Jeeves and Wooster novels  by P.G. Wodehouse are quite fun, and that goes for "Indescretions of Archie" too.

With Napoleon in mind, "The Count of Monte-Christo" relates to the "War of the seventh coalition".
