Slightly away from the main square area but close enough to walk A few local restaurants near the hotel are great One very expensive ( and not very inviting) restaurant in the hotel right next door Enjoy and just wander- that is the best way to enjoy Veni...

Venice is fun but super touristy, and expensive especially in and around piazza San Marco. Do yourself a favor and hop on a vaporetto (water taxi, basically a couple of Euros or free, depending on destination, which is a bargain) and take a very short 10 ...
