So not far from where you once lived. My first house was in Jefferson Manor. The house is still there, but not me.

Has Main street changed much?

Not a book about change, exactly, but documenting the replacement of a church that had been there since about the 1950's. Same era as that Lutheran church. This was originally an Episcopal church. The building was tired and the people in the congregation ...  

It seems this congregation had suffered attrition, and that they decided to shut down.

I suspect the redevelopment here will be "unaffordable" housing. I'm not sure I'd call it a silver lining, but the property brought well over $2.5 MM, and the proceeds were donated to local charities. The redeveloped church you showed looks very nice.
