True story. My mother came to NYC for a wedding in Boston. I borrowed my brother's car to drive to Boston.
5 miles from the wedding location, the car had a flat. I drove to the wedding and called AAA. My mother and wife went in. I waited outside for the truck AAA was sending. The car didn't have a spare and I didn't feel like rolling up my sleeves to fix this thing. Anyway, my mother was inside and anytime somebody asked her where I was, she said I was waiting outside for the man from AA. My mother is not from this country and we call it AA in the Home Counties. Nobody asked any follow up questions when she said I was waiting for the man from the AA. I was not offered a drink when I went in.
