Was there almost a year ago. Interesting place but a bit too “touristy” to my taste... ...

Lovely pic [nt]

It was better or less touristisch some years back

Yes. But mine was with Miss Linda at L'Atelier, a watch boutique in ION Orchard mall.

Great hotels can be memorable. But I had a great buying experience. I wanted this really cool horological device, but it was from one of those small independent manufacturers so there aren't that many around. So I emailed the manufacturer vendor said that...

L’Atelier was so far ahead in terms of concept at the time.

By far the coolest and most interesting watch retailer several years ago.

In all its splendour...

I used to go to a sushi restaurant there, Shinji.

It was more of a business occurrence and in recent years I’ve tried to keep evenings to myself when in SG.

Yes, I knew that.

It was (is) a solid consistent restaurant. But I have not bothered with high end in SG on the last several trips so have not been to the new location.

I understand they have a snooker parlor . . .

. . . for their guests. I would stay at Raffles just for that!

I have great memories of time spent at Raffles.
