It’s not my thing and wouldn’t be a curiosity of mine but I did listen to approximately 4 hours of a podcast earlier this year which patched together the dialogue between the astronauts and the ground in a really coherent manner to tell this story. It was fascinating and really highlights your point made above. 


It’s called the Brady Heywood Podcast, it’s an Irish guy living in Australia who is a forensic engineer by trade and the series mostly focused on engineering failures and was pretty interesting.  But the three or four episodes that cover this mission were really great listening.
