Garage Project accomplished...

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 30th, 2021-15:20
Always wanted to upgrade the looks of the concrete floor and install cabinets in my 3-car garage. Finally got a nice 7-weeks sabbatical break during last month and finished to my liking and expectations. Best of all, it cost less than an Omega Moonwatch b...

Wow! I'm totally jealous of your accomplishments

 By: cazalea : January 30th, 2021-15:26
I epoxied my floor about 10 years ago and it needs another coat or two β€” maybe that flooring is a better idea. It makes the garage look bigger, but is it really bigger and able to hold more cars? (I wish)! Cazalea

I was also evaluating the expoxy option but that needs contractors and if not done well, oil leaks or stains can make it look bad....

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 30th, 2021-15:31
Then, I saw and read about these polycarbonate tiles and how easy to install them....viola! My garage is 810sf with a deeper tandem on the one side. 3 cars to me is more than enough with my boss retired and my son going to college in a couple years.

I totally agree.

 By: amanico : January 30th, 2021-15:45

The single side is deep and tall enough to have a car lift...

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 30th, 2021-16:00
But the double side after the garage doors open may not be an option. Maybe some day, but for now, I’m not sure I need more cars ...Wife retired, son going to college and I’m 30-40% work from home, and work is 2 miles each way πŸ˜…

Spectacular results! Wow!

Man caves are so cool! I did my garage last year with porcelain tiles including the first 5 feet on the wall and am so happy with it. Love how much space you have in yours! Enjoy!

Thanks πŸ™πŸ»

Now I have to find some nice posters to hang on the walls. Hopefully I can sustain the tidiness and cleanliness, haha.

That idea came up too...and it will look awesome.

just this TV will most likely way under utilized in my situation because when I wash my cars, I have to back it out to the driveway and I probably can’t focus on washing.

You’re very welcome Ed...

. . . the pool table?

Ah....right.....

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 30th, 2021-20:27
That should be inside the basement πŸ€ͺ, next project, ok?

Have you ever tried to get a pool table . . .

 By: Dr No : January 30th, 2021-21:43
. . . with a one-piece slate into a basement? And if you think that's tough, try getting one out. My one-piece slate Delta table came out of a friend's basement. Barely. And it took a six-man crew.

Fortunately my daylight basement has a patio sliding door ...

I’m waiting for Plaid....and maybe that roadster. The idea would be to basically build a new Tesla garage wired for at least two cars with solar. Do their high end cars interest you?

I’m not that convinced for full electric vehicles yet...

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 31st, 2021-07:59
Till the infrastructure of a charging station is equivalent to as many gas stations then I’ll feel less anxiety of running dry.

I know...

 By: myles721 : January 31st, 2021-08:03
I asked because I was in the car with my wife yesterday and asked her when the last time either of us drove more than 150 miles in one shot was and neither of us could remember.

Another scary thing about Tesla....

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 31st, 2021-08:06
They updates features and softwares seems too often and I wonder if these follow any safety regulations? I still prefer old school and some engines in my cars, to be honest.

Wow thats one big improvement.

 By: Watchonthewrists : January 31st, 2021-05:00
Beautiful looking garage

I feel proud of myself, lol.

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 31st, 2021-08:00
Most garages will look good if it’s neat and clean too. Thank you.

Nicely done! Do the tiles cut easily for trimming?

 By: MichaelC : January 31st, 2021-06:49
I used 1/2" thick rubber matts in a few areas of my home that lock together. They are quite heavy, and sit wonderfully flat. They trimmed rather easily, with several passes of a sharp utility blade. I mostly create my own built-ins and racking, but I have...

Easy to cut...

 By: Clueless_Collector : January 31st, 2021-07:51
I just rent this tile cutter from Home Depot. Need it to cut the edge pieces. The tiles are 1sf each and is light. Yes the NewAge cabinets are nice too. ...

Well done πŸ‘

Looks great...

When can your kids come over and do mine? Good job on the planning using a graph paper! Whose idea was that?

 By: patrick_y : February 4th, 2021-19:36
In the remodel of one family member's home, I suggested we do the epoxy floor for the garage. We're quite pleased with that epoxy floor. It's probably cheaper than the rubber tile. I'm definitely missing the cabinets and I need to add a wine fridge to tha...

Lol...my teenager is at the rebellious age, takes good/bad parents to finally get his help...

 By: Clueless_Collector : February 4th, 2021-19:53
It was my wife’s idea to use the graph paper and glad I listened. Epoxy definitely looks more professional and the wine fridge idea...hmmm πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ»
