I Used To Use Multi Blade

Jun 10, 2020,10:42 AM

Gillette but when they started anti-male advertising I was so disgusted that I threw them away,,,really.
I switched to Wilkinson which I have found to be far superior: sharper and longer lasting.
So sharp that the first time I used it my skin bled without being cut. A self-service abattoir!
I have a tough beard and soft skin.
I have also found Somerset's shaving oil to be very good.
Kind regards,
Antony

What do some of you use for razors?

 By: Thomas_3 : June 10th, 2020-08:04
I use shaving soap and a badger hair brush, but my razors suck. My sons have been telling me that forever. They are cheap disposables. I am thinking I would like to try a nice single blade razor. I see the prices of refills of multi blade razors in the bi...

...I can confidently say that the modern multi-blade razors from the large established companies are excellent and the extra blades do make a difference although you are right they seem expensive. I say seem expensive because compared to the average dispo...

Try Harry's.

I have been using for over 5 years and they have a great product at a very reasonable price. You can order online or in US they are available at Target and WalMart... I also shave my head and is my favorite of all the blades I have tried... -D-

It seems that tech wars with razors have gotten pretty silly along with greatly increasing costs. So years ago I started buying (Gillette) women's disposable razors which are single blade. A

pack of 12 is quite cheap and one lasts me 2 weeks or more. The one caveat is that their bite is fairly aggressive so each time I go to the next new one I must recalibrate (lessen) how much pressure I apply to eliminate cutting myself. To make sure I can ...

How 'bout either Dollar Shave Club or Harry's?

 By: MikiJ : June 10th, 2020-09:12
Harry's offer trial packs for $8.US that contain a handle, a couple of blades a travel cover and sometimes their shave gel plus other discount coupons. I use the Harry's stuff and it's reasonable if you buy 16 blades for $18.US if you shave almost everyda...

Double edged safety razor for me

 By: Peevee57 : June 10th, 2020-11:35
Switched from multi-blade about 7 years ago and will never go back. No cuts, no irritation and very smooth, also works well after a week of not having shaved. The feather blades are incredibly sharp! ...

I used those for a while but went back to multiblade a few years ago

I thought the double edge was a little more environmentally friendly but it does not work for me anymore. I used German and Japanese blades. Nowadays, I use the 3 blade from Gilette and have a custom wooden and chrome handle, which I use with badger, hard...

prohibitive, especially for something that last an average of a week-10 days.

Gillette Mach 3 Blades, but brush, stand and shaver and soap from GEO Trumper.

The thick well shaped razor makes all the difference.

This is less expensive in the long run..

I switched years ago and never looked back. They provide a closer, irritation free shave for me. A big change from the multi-blade razors I had been using. I also use a brush and shaving soap. I believe this combo provides a more comfortable shave, is mor...

Once it became clearly socially acceptable to have a little scruff, I swapped my razor for a stubble trimmer and never looked back. 1mm setting every 3 days or so and I'm good to go. The closest I come to a razor these days is when I go running by this pl...
