When you're there, you've got sometimes the impression to fly on a business jet.

More 747s. One of my favorite ways ever to fly. ...

The Queen of The Skies!!

Likewise, as for many others, the 747 was, is, and will remain foreseeably, the gold standard of commercial aviation. I particularly love the Air NZ All-Blacks livery on the plane in the back . I recently finished reading this excellent magazine special t...

That is my dream. The 747 is an icon, but the A380 looks just awesome.

Super silent.

Airbus does make nice ones, Boeing too. They brought me and my family save from home to the holiday home and back. When i can chose before i buy a ticket i will take Airbus, cause of the European made technology. European pride. Boeing is American, made b...

The 787 is a modern marvel of an airplane.

I had the good fortune of flying on it in 2014 and 2015 when I made my last European trips (7 years ago!). It is pretty quiet, the air recirculation is considerably improved as well as all of the lighting/entertainment system elements. As Centurionone say...

A pity that first class isn't anymore on the top floor

at least Lufthansa, my main carrier, decided many years ago to move it to the front of the main deck. That was somehow just different, flying first on the top deck compared to the main deck - even though the service did not change.

Flown the 747 many times most notably

Air France 1st class (I didn’t want to get off the plane) a number of times and Virgin Upper Class (they had in flight massage) but not in the golden age of the 70’s…that must have been awesome..

I've flown in dozens of 747s. It's a very nice plane.

I haven't flown in the 747-8 though. I'm told that "dash 8" plane is even more comfortable. I do have to say, the new A350 and the 787 aircrafts are very comfortable. They have newer technology that requires lower pressurization in the passenger cabin. Al...

Remind me to tell you more about what I learned when I spoke with airline pilots and executives...

It's really an amazing industry that's very multi-faceted. An extremely competitive segment. And there's no loyalty. Lots of government politics. Lots of trade politics internationally, and more. It's one crazy industry!

Yes, alas.

I've had many a flight on them. From the first 100 series with Aerlingus, the 200 and 400 series too, in airlines not about anymore like Northwest. Last flight on one was back in 2018 to HK. Cheers S ...

Great shot :)
