Dearest friends, I am looking for an oyster ice cream recipe. I've not eaten it before but would like to take a stab making it. I am betting that there's at least one here who has eaten it, perhaps even venturing to make it... lol... sounds like Andrew......

Hello Helen, Hope all is well, good to have you back on the forums! The most interesting ice cream I've had is the garlic ice cream at the Stinking rose here in L.A. Didn't care for it but there are fans out there. Oyster ice cream doesn't sound appetizin...

Ming, Garlic ice cream sounds like a stretch to keep zombies and vampire at bay. lol! I've been experimenting with some new recipes. As a kid I enjoyed shrimp stuffed artichokes which you can't get any more... I think I've found the perfect shrimp stuffin...

The Stinking Rose is a restaurant that is in the old Lawry's Prime Rib location on LaCienega (The original is in San Fran). As the name implies, the items on the menu are prepped with garlic inspired recipes. Good luck with the ice cream, let us know how ...

i only had my first raw oyster in october with bimbeano and his mate mr b so when Andy, pplater and i went to the covent garden branch of the same restaurant i thought Andy ought to try one. its a nice entree before our starters arrived. as for oyster ice...

hi Helen, it doesnt seem a year since Eddie passed away. i hope you are doing ok. as for oysters, they are found around the coast, but not in such huge numbers and are bought up by all the top restaurants. at one time oysters were poor mans food, but not ...

...although I have recently had bacon/chocolate chip and salted caramel ice creams and they were excellent. I prefer my oysters raw or broiled with cream cheese and green onions. Cheers, Daos

Daos, I think this is more of a frozen soup type... Its worth a try, especially if it's topped with a raw oyster. Warmly, Helen
