I have to say I’m very curious why there is not one post about the World Cup.

6 days in and plenty of excitement and controversy.

These women are terrific.

And there have been several very tense and exciting games. As for the controversy-the whole U.S. is blowing up pro or con for what happened yesterday. Surprisingly (in my mind) most people registering in seem to be quite critical of the players' celebrati...

I think this is an interesting comparative stat....

An estimated 1,120 Million (1.1 Billion) people world-wide watched the 2018 Men's World Cup Final. An estimated 27 Million people world-wide watched the 2015 Women's World Cup Final. I think that's a fair assessment of the relative global interest in the ...

Putting aside the fact that men are stronger, and maybe faster, the women's game is really just as exciting and well-played as the men.

I think it's a shame that so many countries put in so little, and even no, money in support of their women. Jamaica is there through charitable contributions.

Your glasses must be very rose tinted if you dont see the huge difference how the matches are played

Sure they can be entertaining but not on the same level.

I didn’t say they were on the same level.

Physically, and with universally much less resources, it is not the same. But for excitement, and competitiveness, it’s as good.

They were terrific. A little unlucky that they did not score more.

Thanks

Well it took 92 minutes but they pulled it off What’s more remarkable is that since this team started to show their potential, ladies soccer has taken an incredible increase in popularity back home At least according to what I hear from back home Out here...

I didn’t see the USA game yesterday

 By: NickO : June 12th, 2019-14:31
But thank you for your last comment. As a fellow American, I have always thought that many of our national sports stars and teams could benefit from learning to both win and lose with greater dignity and class. In our country there is so much focus on the...
