TAG Heuer was smart in that they made the bezel insert and dial with this material/texture but has the durability of a steel case. A bezel insert can easily be replaced. I think the Aquaracer is perhaps the best integration of carbon fiber in a watch. I still haven' seen any "long-term" information on the durability of carbon fibre cases like the Bamford Monaco, so the jury is still out. As for "Anachrony" of mechanical movements? New materials IMO are one of the few ways you can push forward with technology in mechanical watches while still keeping them traditional mechanical. There are few other directions to go and personally, I think trying new materials moves the entire industry forward. Thanks for your input!
