very thorough and detailed reported with great photos. Thanks for sharing however some disagreements and some thoughts from my personal side

First of all, TAG was never a manufacture to begin with. They were an assembleur who got their reputation by using france ebauches (especially on their diving watches)valjoux and lemania chrono movements in the past. It is until very recently that Tag started to launch their own chrono calibres like the 02 and the 02T, the 01 and the 1887 being the seiko 6s37 derivatives. For the rest of its automatic calibres, it uses mostly ETA or/and sellita movements, that is not what I would call a "manufacture" in the purest sense of the meaning. The calibre 5 is an eta 2824, aside perhaps a TAG Heuer Logo on the rotor, there is no Cosc certification or any mechanical improvement done to it which would have been definite pluses. And the 2824 has also one big drawback which is the mandatory servicing every five years. What was the daily accuracy of your watch if I may ask? Is the octogonal bezel as good as the Sub or the Seamaster 300 bezel in terms of practicality?
Matter of taste like anything else and of point of views of course.
