I like it! I'm not in the market for this kind of watch but I remember when I had a 2 tone quartz tag, this is way nicer ๐Ÿ˜‚

Honestly, for the price point which I assume is some fraction of a Rolex steel watch, this looks pretty great. Porsche is no longer just the 911 demographic full of 50+ $300k+ / yr dentists. For better or worse, the suvs have opened the brand up to a wider demographic so I'm not convinced a Porsche / Tag partnership is a bad idea. TBH, auto and watch collabs have always been controversial for the actual car owners (except the maybe the amvox series). For people buying $300k GT2's they probably aren't going to buy any Porsche branded watch anyway so the opportunity might be at the lower price point market. There's a thread in Rennlist right now for someone looking for their first Porsche watch, budget is under $5k.....

Nothing 'embarrassing' about the watch... it's just typical TH... not sure what's Porsche about it... so what do I mean by typical TH? An overly slick watch with a dial that has zero Heuer DNA, but only a relatively generic modern chrono, not rooted in th...

Mostel in his post I believe alluded to it well; itโ€™s the typical Tag style but fails to capture, or in my view reflect, a true partnership. It feels like the collaborations of old where one party is really just licensing out their name and not actually..

committing any effort into the design. Do we think this collaboration is representative of Porsche leaning in and really thinking about how something can be designed which stays true to Tagโ€™s DNA but incorporates some Porsche DNA? I donโ€™t think any of us ...

Iโ€™m disappointed...

What were they thinking.

Me too

They couldโ€™ve revived the monaco V4 for this partnership and created a mindblowing piece, but they chose this rather dull path.

I agree.

Assuming that leaves room for discounting sounds like a solid watch for the price

With the new zenith that just came out it feels like there's now a ceramic bezel 3 register chrono for every price point ๐Ÿ™„
