Tourbillon Heritage

Calibre 1.02 consists of 224 parts & 33 jewels. The tourbillon carriage is made of 62 parts, occupying a volume of 306mm3
and spins on its axis once per minute. It also uses the Variner (variable inertia) balance.

The back view of Calibre 1.02. Armed with the L.U.C Quattro 4 barrels, it gives a power reserve of 216 hrs (9days).

The L.U.C Twist

L.U.C Twist (Dia 41 mm) in 18K Rose Gold (RG) case with the Calibre 1.96 . Notice the crown is at the 4'o clock position and
the small second counter is at 7'o clock position.

L.U.C Twist (Dia 41 mm) in White Gold (WG) case with the Calibre 1.96

The L.U.C Regulator

The L.U.C Regulator in Yellow Gold (YG).  The Regulator was voted " Watch of the Year" in 2004.  It includes a GMT function
which can be set independently with a press of the button (at 8'o clock). Also has a super engine Calibre 1.98 inside with
9 day power reserve. Limited to 250 pcs.

The Regulator in WG. Limited to 250pcs

Nice piece!  The L.U.C Tech Regulator (Dia 39.5mm)  with the Super Quattro Calibr 1.98.   The open-worked dial gives
a modern look as compare the classic pieces below.  Case in Stainless Steel.
Limited to 250 pieces.

The L.U.C Lunar One

Lunar One Perpetual Calender - child-proof, so need not worry if accidentally set ahead of time or year, and need not
send back to factory to re-adjust.  There is also no concern if the time cannot be adjusted from  usual 'danger-zone, 9 to 3
o'clock " !

The 354 components - Caliber 1.96QP in Lunar One, finished to achieve Geneve Seal.
Points to note is the  moon phase is unique.  It differs from the typical moon-phase with a static front-plate.
The Lunar One is equipped with an orbital moonphase, you will be viewing the actual phase of the moon revolving around earth.

It also has the option to be adjusted the moonphase  to depict as per viewing at either the North or South hemisphere.

It is so accurate, it only needs to be adjusted by one day once every 122 years!
Next the plate also depicts of the actual constellation in the night sky.

Very few manufactureres can attain the above capabilities!

The back of the 1.96QP. Superb finishing, solid 22K gold rotor

The L.U.C Qualité Fleurier

L.U.C Qualité Fleurier ... a unique milestone piece with the Cal 9.96.
250 pieces 18K RG  were launched to coincide with the creation of the new test & certification body Foundation Qualité Fleurier (FQF).
This was the very first Chopard timepiece to earn this prestigious distinction passing the extremely vigorous FQF certification.

It is even more stringent than the COSC (which test only the bare calibre).
The key point of  the FQF testing represents a real-life human wearing a watch.

FQF has 2 special machine which simulate the movement of a human and the watch will be tested on this special machine
for 24 hours.  The passing point is the rate must be within 0 to +5 seconds /day.
This is the distinction between Precision and just accuracy!
For more information, please visit :
www.fleurier-quality.com  and please check out the video!

Superb workmanship with lugs individually fabricated and soldered to the case.
Another wonderful aspect is the individually hand-engraved bee-hive logo on the solid caseback.  No two pieces are the same.

L.U.C Quattro (diameter 38mm), a world first with 4 barrels having a power reserve of 8 days.

L.U.C Quattro Mark II (WG, diameter 39.5mm)

L.U.C Tourbillon Steel Wings (diameter 40.5mm)

L.U.C Tourbillon Steel Wings (diameter 40.5mm)

L.U.C Quattro Tourbillon  (Diameter : 40.5mm)

Mark III Classic (diameter 39.5mm)  with the Calibre 3.96 in SS.
This piece is tremendous bang for the buck!!

The L.U.C Tonneau

The L.U.C Tonneau - a wristshot
It could be the world only tonneau watch with a tonneau shaped calibre and a micro-rotor - the Calibre 3.97 .
Typically the industry will place a round calibre inside a tonneau.

.

Diamond studded Tonneau

The buckle is also set with diamonds.

The Calibre 3.97, specially designed for the L.U.C Tonneau.  Truly make to measure!

Look carefully,  optical illusion...this piece is the tonneau shaped calibre 3.97 !  Yep the part name was previously 1.97.

Several Seldom Seen Pieces...specially make...

L.U.C Twin with mother-of-pearl (MOP) dial, looks like having at least 3 cut-outs.  Wonder how they set the baguettes &
the date window, without cracking the MOP.

Another special piece - diamond studded 1860 with the Calibre 1.96!

Look at the setting...the amount of skills and efforts put it by the master jeweller.  The retail price is surprising good.

The 1.96

A wristshot  on a lady's wrist

The L.U.C Classic (WG) with a total of 3.84 carats of diamond.

Have anyone of you seen this?
The case design is a mix of a circle and a square.  Size : Dia 40 X 36 mm

This piece is called the L.U.C Grand! Think previously was named as "Monotec".
Guess whose piece is this?

Its Maxime.

The Sports Action Watches

The Pro One GMT  & the Pro One... both at diameter 42 mm.

This is an interesting piece from the guest.... Dick Leong.

It is a beautiful  "St. Moritz" launched in 1980.  It was designed to be an all purpose watch, which could be worn with suit or on a ski slope!

THANKS KONG. I should have been there ;-) I especially like the Lunar One and also the MOP dial. The breakage must be very high for the dial. Cheers joe

sporty luxury watch was most interesting as I've never seen one before. Even in those days, Chopard was keen to experiment and cover the "sporty wealthy" market. Prior to the yuppie period, wealthy people were old and fat (just kidding) but seriously, Cho...
