I believe ISO had an update that requires divers watches to have a lume plot at all 12 positions. Hence, Seiko complied with their lume plot wedged at the periphery.
I believe they also updated the writing on the case back to reflect that this is a diver's watch. Would like to see the backs of those two watches to compare. -John
P.S. If the 12 lume plot is a requirement, I wonder what Rolex will do with their divers!

Rolex will come up with their own certification and change nothing.
Superlative Diver's Watch Officially Certified is my guess.
I'm half joking of course but it's possible and kind of "The Rolex Way" so to speak.

Rolex will probably pull out of COSC. Omega is moving to METAS. Things change. We are definitely in a fickle hobby.
