Well, lack of interest from visitors and no contacts at Citizen are the main reasons

When "appointed" as Moderator, I originally was going to call this forum the Seiko/Citizen/Japanese Watch forum.

But that's unwieldy, and "the Purists" site was aimed at people who accepted no substitutes and were essentially laser-focused on high end products. So I started mostly focusing on Grand Seiko. As we evolved and became WatchProSite we are (generally) visited more by collectors of higher-end watches. Seiko is perhaps the "entry level" or "spur of the moment buy" corner of this site. ANYONE can afford a Seiko (or Citizen) if they want to, and owners of more expensive and Swiss brands often have one or more Seikos, G-Shocks, or other Asian brands.

I personally have had several Citizens, including THE CITIZEN and a few GMTs. This appears to be our current inventory (both of which I found in my wife's watch box)

Hard-used and often put away wet!

I will also say from an economic point of view, unlike many other sites we host all the images uploaded by our visitors. That doesn't seem like much on an individual basis but with hundreds of posts and thousands of high-quality images weekly, and years (decades) of back stories always accessible, it adds up to a considerable amount of storage and processing, hosted on multiple servers around the globe. All of which costs money. So without a high demand, and/or good cooperation from the brand, we don't create new fora.

Please post on the Seiko or HOME (Horological Meandering) forums, and thanks for your interest.

Cheers,

Cazalea
