After all,it's the dial that attracts our initial attention,and coupled with a reasonable movement or function like date,power reserve,is a winning strategy.
However, i think you can overdo a good thing,and as they flood the market with more 'interesting' limited editions of dials, it may start to pale,especially as the prices escalate.
still,they are very attractive.

Hi Well they're not battle scars in truest sense, just a myriad of little scratches that come with wearing a watch - if you want it to be pristine, don't wear it , but that's no fun. So would I get it polished - I think so, to bring it back to how it was....
