 By: cazalea : October 12th, 2016-15:02
Many of us, being opinionated PuristS, tend to go on and on about "NO STINKING DATE WINDOWS" on our watches. After reading the umpteenth thread on this, as Moderator on this sub-Forum I have decided to take action. Herewith, the table of Grand Seiko model...

This is fantastic! [nt]

My no date GS

 By: modest collector : October 12th, 2016-22:58
Impressive collection, Cazalea! and what a valuable catalogue that you share. Here\'s my SBGW005. I think they stop producing it. Has a second blue hand and I would say the dial is actually off white or even creamish depending on the lighting. Regards ...

I love that watch too

 By: cazalea : October 13th, 2016-11:09
The color of the dial has proven very elusive and too varying to describe verbally, although "sort of white" is adequate. Cazalea ...

To be fair

The vociferous "No date" supporters are a tiny minority amongst PuristS and general watch owners. They just shout louder. Most owners have both date and dateless watches. I have no particular fixed view as the date display is compulsory in some circumstan...

Yes, you are right, the NO-DATERS are a minority

 By: cazalea : October 13th, 2016-10:59
But I had to be provocative, as I was trying to get them to consider buying a Grand Seiko and there happen to be plenty of no-date models. Unlike the Seiko clock I am working on this morning. Cheers, Cazalea ...

Beautiful collection and list!

I recently read a post regarding manually wound GS

 By: ifraher : October 15th, 2016-13:49
With the 130th anniversary steel reference in particular catching my eye. Is there an existing list of manually wound GS available? Regards Ian

Not sure any manual winds in production but perhaps there are still some for sale new

 By: cazalea : October 15th, 2016-14:31
If you are asking for a spreadsheet similar to the no-date version, I can help you. These are the models I've catalogued with manual wind only movements, from Grand Seiko. Of course there are a few more from Credor. Mike Manual Winding GRAND SEIKO MODELS ...

Amazing

Thank you for your efforts.

Amazing! Thank you for all the effort!

Can I request an additional column for display back?

You can ask, but ...

 By: cazalea : October 16th, 2016-21:59
The file now lists about 400 Grand Seiko models. My guess is about 20-30% might have display backs, but I have no way of knowing that apart from researching each model again on the web, and looking for images of the back, or if very lucky, finding a text ...

I know, a long shot.....

Just trying my luck. If I do start down that route I will be sure to note them down and pass it forward. Please keep up your good work, it's very much appreciated.

This is amazing!
