Seiko Black "turtle"
On and off I do collect the unusual Seiko watches, from Sports 5 to Grand Seiko. Lately I was shown a 2018 Black Edition release and the SRPC49J1 to be one sought after by Seiko collectors worldwide. Of course, unable to get one brand new from shops, I was being offered BNIB for doubling the standard price. I was later told Seiko Prospex hardly produced in Black and therefore this one or the series of 3 are sought after everywhere. The one I purchased happened to come from Mainland China, therefore the day of the week is displayed in Chinese character, making mine a rare Black Turtle to keep. I am still searching for the Solar edition in black, after acquiring the chronograph last week. The hunt is on to get the trio...
