I want to say thank you for the quick reply. I am a large collector of timepieces but this was my first Seiko. I like the design and the look. I own many automatics and never had this type of issue. I think I am going to send it to my watch repairman and have him take a look I was told when I bought the timepiece that the crystal was replaced. So that could be the issue in itself. It could be just - too-long-since-the-lase-servicing, to bad-use-by-the-previous-owner(s). Simple visit to the watchmaker (reputable repair shop, or even SEIKO customer service) would tell you exactly what is wrong. I don't think this is BECAUSE this is S...
