At some point all my watches I have owned always end up with a prominent scratch...this one takes the cake except when I owned a Rolex DJ and accidentally dropped into the sink..it landed on the blades for the garbage disposal and gauged the bezel (dispos...

Agree...especially for an everyday wearer...

...I've only had my Sub serviced a few times in 37 years, but I won't let them touch the bezel, hands or dial, and they never polish the case...soap and water only! It looks like a 37-year-old watch but all the dings are mine... The first door ding on you...

Thx Fab! If one were to look closely at my 5 watches they would notice some character! Not sure how I do it but it always happens!

My PO which i have had for 5 years i expect to be beat up as I have done everything with that watch. But for some reason the most dangerous spot for my watches is my damn office! -D-

My PO Chrono is pretty clean..

Had it for seven years and wear it all the time but almost no gouges. Itโ€™s coming up for servicing although Iโ€™m guessing purists would frown I think Iโ€™m partial to having scratches buffed out..having said that with the ceramic bezel it looks like new...al...

Just imagine if it was ceramic and the case cracked! Enjoy the "loved" timepiece.

All but my vintage

watches are pretty much scratch free, only because I am a giant pussy about getting them scratched. I am over the top anal about keeping them scratch free. Every time I go into my AD and he sees one of my watches he mumbles something about how unbelievabl...

I try to be anal but during the day the madness of work takes over and who know how I scratch them. Small ones I can live with but this one goes along the case and up the lug..

so it will be awhile before it stops bothering me! At least when i look at this wonderful dial I don't see it, has to be the right angle! What is your secret? -D-

scratches, mostly "shirt cuff swirls", but as far as major scratches, there are none. I am very fortunate (and anal).

Almost all my watches are scratch-free. But recently I had a bad occasion. Someone walked pass me on my left, so close that his watch hit mine (he was wearing on his right wrist). There was plenty of room and I could never imagine someone would brushed pa...

The scratches would be minor, on the pictures it is hard for me to see. This solution would be one, carbon case. Many carbon watches outside. Avoid soft materials, do avoid ceramic. Sure, most of us wants shiny and high gloss watches. Me not different. My...

One day out of control

 By: Weems@8 : July 28th, 2020-03:51
It hurts me, one day off the grid. Day two, i go to see if i can attack the scratch with something like Cape Cod towel. With my watch loupe i go to see if i delete the scratch with a Cape Cod towel. Mostly of the time iโ€™ve got luck, and delete the scratch...

I also did that before to my Daytona. But not dare touch this 5712R.
