My one and only Seiko/Grand Seiko
Hi all,
New to the Seiko board.
The first non-toy watch I bought myself was a Seiko back in early 90s, but I didn't have a Seiko (or any other Japanese watch other than a G-Shock) in my collection during my adult years. As someone with a Japanese heritage, I wanted to fix that.
I first got an SBGW235 during my trip to Japan and I loved it. I loved it oh so much that I really wanted to get a SEIKO branded one. Enter SBGW005. I just love that quirky branding, "Grand Seiko" being applied instead of painted like 035/235 (they do look great, too!), and again, the fact that it is a Seiko.
Just wanted to say hi to the folks on the Seiko board.
Cheers!

Thanks! They are Made by Jean Rousseau in collaboration with Theo & Harris. I thought the subtle creamy tone of this watch would work well with the French Grey ish straps, and I am liking the combo very much. ...
Agreed!

I recently picked up another one from their atelier while visiting Tokyo. Although it was a non-bespoke stock item, the staff put special cuts for quick release on my vintage Patek while I waited. Great service and the price is right.
Official welcome!

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Seiko/Grand Seiko/Credor etc. forum. Nice choice of watch (Iām biased), and interesting strap too. Mine is on the boring old bracelet... We look forward to hearing more about your interest in watches. Cheers, Cazalea ...
