Curiously, I don’t fully understand the sizing of the minute markers nor their pattern. They aren’t uniform, but I can’t tell if they’re random or patterned sizing around the dial in this picture. Still cool, though. 👌🏽

The minute markers are the colored strips in between. The strips are not of equal size, so it isn’t obvious at first glance. However, In person the hour markers do contrast against the others so it is more apparent.

I like the mix of playfulness, traditional craftsmanship and ultimate legibility - well done!

It reminds me of a game called Pick-up Sticks that I played with as a kid. ...
