Fixed! Finally!

This Seiko caliber 6602 dates back to August, 1969, when I entered university AND turned 18. I found it in the watch parts box a couple months ago during my Seiko watch walk series (craze).

It hadn't run for a decade or more, and was forlorn, in the bottom of a drawer, with a non-functional crown, rusted case spacer and rotten crystal. I have shown a few of the scary pictures before, but today is the first time everything has come together, courtesy of a donor parts watch and a new crystal and strap. More later, I have a journey to complete and a report to write!

I decided I would not give up on this because it just gave me pleasure to revive a piece otherwise headed for the trash. Mike PS - someday I will set the date but it’s not a quick-set mechanism ...
