It is just a gold Seiko (Au950, plated or rolled gold doesn’t matter) - just like a gold Nautilus or a gold Rolex. Or it is because IT IS a Seiko and not a Patek or a Rolex that draws the feedback. Frankly, it is a typical Seiko - nothing new there.

Along with affordability, Seiko 5 has always been about variety and lots of it. While we may not like it, it doesn't surprise me that there would be something like this one in the catalog. (Nt)

I'm with you on that one. It's why I don't like the new Seiko 5's that mimic the SKX. But Seiko is Seiko. Nature of the beast to spew out models at a dizzying rate. Shades of this even in GS (nt)
