Were it not there, would you be asking if we really need that "calendar page?" I feel the two rather "balance" one another out. What say you to that?

So many ways to look at these elements. Of course I understand your wish for greater simplicity. But on spring drive models I'd posit that since there is nothing going tick tock inside, one may be lulled into a false sense of security—as if the movement were quartz (though obviously the seconds hand makes it supremely clear that it isn't).
