Were it not there, would you be asking if we really need that "calendar page?" I feel the two rather "balance" one another out. What say you to that?

So many ways to look at these elements. Of course I understand your wish for greater simplicity. But on spring drive models I'd posit that since there is nothing going tick tock inside, one may be lulled into a false sense of security—as if the movement were quartz (though obviously the seconds hand makes it supremely clear that it isn't). Just an idea. I've really no clue but for that glimmer of an answer. Hey, have a great day, IWC. I always enjoy your participation here! Fred

Two new Luxury Divers (if the words can be used together) one evoking the sunrise or sunset; the other moonlight. These are serious watches, approximately 45mm x 16mm. They feature Zaratsu polishing, cermet (ceramic metal) bezels, and Spring Drive movemen...

It mentions lowering the CG for a better wrist fit. I'm curious what the profile and case-back look like. Would need a third button on my shirt cuff to tuck that 16mm "thin" case! As always, thanks for the info! -John

But, do we really need that gas gauge?

I think Seiko included the power reserve hand as a reminder of Spring Drive’s efficiency

Every Spring Drive from Day One has had it. Alternatively, perhaps it provides some undocumented technical function in the Spring Drive movement itself. Cazalea

Calendar Page?

Do you mean the date window? I don't like those either but this one is not objectionable. Aside from the PR indicator being a sore detail, it's also pointless on an automatic watch. I think they are more appropriate on manual wind watches. Anyway, it is w...

LOL! That's too funny
