Finally a Spring Drive with no power reserve on the dial! Very, very nice

Platinum

This first version is in platinum and priced at 6M yen, pricey!

Yeah...

Just saw the price and that it\'ll be in PT. Darn. The finishing from the Micro Artist Studio is stunning. Credor meets GS? Out of my budget at the moment, I\'m afraid, but from here it seems pretty much perfect. Best E.

Need to see more of the case...

...but I agree: That looks LOVELY. So nice to see a bit of a trend towards simplicity! Best E.

The new Grand Seiko chronographs and GMT all in ceramic are actually on

their website www.grand-seiko.com I like the idea of having a ceramic and titanium case, but the look reminds me some black DRC launched by other Japanese manufacturers few years ago. They are quartz. This new offering has to be seen in person bef...

The watch of the fair in my opinion...

If it would be 38-40mm instead if 43mm that could be a one watch for a lifetime type of piece. Movement, dial (diamond dust...), finishing, crystal (domed front and back), case. The perfect watch ( apart from the size). Best, Alex

Cool! White dial + blue hand....

... just wish it were made by SII (mechanical GS manufacturer)..... I know that Spring Drive is the highly advanced mechanical (in a way) watch, but it is an acquired taste and I have not acquired it yet! Ken

Wait - I missed some info..

.. 43mm? 6mm JPY? That is crazy.... I agree with Alex that if it is 38-39mm, SS case, with more down to earth price, then it would be extremely nice, even with the Spring Drive inside.

Yes, and those GS watches with ceramic/titanium case are 46 x 15 which is too too big!

Is it because the movement is large, or the fashion is large and GS finally catching up just as the fad tapers off?

That is not a great move....

.. GS has been GS with the "just" size for a long time.... 46mm? Most certainly, not for Japanese......

Beautiful watch...
