Late to the party, but better late than...

Hi all! I've only one (GS SBGW003; produced in 2002 in a limited edition of 300 for the JDM) and it's all Mike's fault.
Stumbling onto this rare bird for sale on another forum, and searching the Internet for info. on the watch, I chanced upon cazalea's comprehensive series of posts on the SBGW series—more info. than I'd ever hoped for. Furthermore, who was this charming fellow, so helpful, so knowledgable, so down-to-earth? Needless to say I purchased the piece. But further, immediately joined WPS. Marvelous! For what a fine time I've had here, making friends and acquaintances—all warm, supportive, and helpful. Thanks to our fine friend, Caz, I am a proud member of this GS "club." But let me introduce those not already aware to the beauties of the '003 to its most striking feature.
In normal light, the watch's face—with embossed, not applied, markers—is terribly legible, with the colored seconds hand at once noticeable, contrasting with a slightly egg-creme dial color.
But turn the watch slightly, and Whoa! Those hands! Wild blueberry begins to leap off the dial.
Turning further still, the hands come nearly into full light
And finally, a closeup shows the amazingly flawless enamel work (I think it's enamel; these surely aren't "blued;" the finish has the fluid appearance of a coating. Mike! some help here!) This view also shows the amazing crispness of the embossing, not to mention the gold's glint as it catches the light—notably, at this angle, on the numerals "2" and "3." All-in-all a watch that dependably tells you the time with no if, ands, or buts.
While this was not an invitation to a full-blown review (that you can find in my initial posts on the forum) I will just mention—for those not yet familiar with Seiko's Zaratsu polish—that unlike any of my other timekeepers, including Omega and Blancpain, if I so much as breathe on the '003, whip out my shirttail and give it a few swipes, it gleams! I have never had a experience like this before, and as a result, worn often though not extensively, the '003 still looks essentially NOS. And I am the third owner.
Great fun to be able to participate here. My warmest greeting to all GS owners and admirers. A pleasurable and safe Holiday season ahead for all of you!
