Japanese is famous for their attention to details

I agree that the case, hands, dial and hour markers of Seiko are superb. They are distinctively better than a lot of Swiss and German brands. But for movement finishing, I still prefer that of Swiss and German.

I was scanning through some Seiko videos today, and I thought some scenes were so gorgeous that I ought to stop the show and take a closer look. Here are a few sights you might not catch while handling a watch in the store. These increased my appreciation...

Superb screenshots!

That is probably because....

... SEIKO doesn't do "finishing". Remember that GS is aimed to be "the most PRACTICAL watch" and finishing is not included in "PRACTICAL".... same reason for why most are automatic, not hand wind.... While I understand it and the value is still very high ...

Thanks for this closer look

These images confirm why the fuss ! Certainly I need to start considering building a nice Seiko collection and it may very well start when I go to Tokyo in a couple of weeks to visit family. Will definitely hop over to Wako to see what is on offer. Thanks...

Great to see these images

My appreciation for Seiko continues to grow. Best, respo

Three words...

.. attention to details.... Their case is VERY specially made. I don't think there are more than a few brands in Swiss or Germany who makes the case with such time and effort and patience.... Surely inside is well designed and it can be adjusted up to sup...

Stop luring me, please.

To be honest, I am pretty sure that I WILL get a Grand Seiko someday. Just waiting for the irresistible one to come.

Classic

If you're looking for a dependable and reliable no-nonsense time-piece that is also beautiful and will not go out of fashion, you can hardly do better.
