I love the watch, especially in-person. On my wrist, it sits too much like a hockey puck (with standard deployment and tried non-deployment).

Question around SBGM221 redesign

 By: g_schroder : January 31st, 2020-09:25
Hello all - I've been a big fan of Grand Seiko's SBGM221 for a few years now. I'm leaning towards finally picking one up, but have heard rumor that GS is planning to release their 2020 watches in March. I realize folks aren't likely to know, but on the of...

If i would add a GS it will def be this version.

I do like that dial color and layout a lot . Not aware of any rumors about a new version, sorry

Well, admittedly making it slightly thinner would be nice.

I’m not really looking for any changes, just want to make sure a new model variation of it isn’t right around the corner. Thanks!

I’d bet they won’t change it

This is basically the previous model with Seiko on the dial, and it didn’t change at all for at least a decade of production. Similar to my GMT This is a tough watch, not delicate. Not too thick (the Hi-Beat is thicker) ...

This is one of the best looking Grand Seiko's.
