I like that. Wish I could get it with the crown at "3". [nt]

Seiko 5 new releases with new logo. Vintage and retro looking with mesh bracelets. Any input on this? ...

Same reason I still haven't gotten my first Seiko sport watch

Most of the models I like have the crown at 4 o'clock.

What's the difficulty?

I don't have a watch with a crown at 4 so I don't understand why the crown position is a deal breaker for you.

Maybe you should try one for yourself?

I have two reasons. One is I find it awkward to wind or make adjustments with a crown that's so close to a lug especially if one is still wearing the watch. The other reason is purely aesthetic. I just don't care for the looks.

I guess that's a good a reason as any other to buy another watch. I figured it was partly functional. I usually take my watches off to set them but what you said makes sense.

You can ask a modifier to move this to a 3 o‘clock case.

It‘s a bit of work as you have to for example change the date wheel, but for sure it is possible. You would get sapphire and screw down in the process as well.

I like it -- what's the movement though?

I ask because I have an old Orange Monster with the older 7s26, non-hacking movement. Keeps good time on the wrist but extreme positional variation (-20 in one position, +8 in another).

Is this the updated version of the 7s26?

Or is it a step up, other than hacking and manual winding?

A great looking watch.

The only problem I have is that the crown doesn't screw down like the old SKX models. Still, they are rated for 100m (not 200m like the old SKX). Would liked to have been a fly on the wall during Seiko's product meetings. With that said, they will probabl...

Beautiful.

Love the new/old logo. Looks great on mesh. Amazing value and history. Automatic. What’s not to like? All of this plus the fact that Seiko is one of only true fully integrated manufactures in the watch world.... Ill be enjoying the red dial version on mes...

This new Seiko 5 series is a good one but I prefer the old SKX..
