I fell for the SLA 017 when I saw it at BaselWorld and placed my order right from the convention floor. It is one of my favorite pieces. I really like, and agree with, your observation about Seiko refraining from using the faux-patina on this re-make/tribute pieces. I like that they are faithful to the original and will acquire a patina of their own, whatever it will be.

The 017 is my favorite. That dial! And the size and 60s vibe is perfection.
