I have that same clasp on my GS 10th Anniversary GMT. It came with the watch and is well made but I dislike the excessively "tall" metal keeper - I guess some like really thick, padded leather straps but I prefer lower profiles.

Does this bother anyone?

I generally love watches and try to keep the hobby and my posts positive. I'm wondering though if the fact that these high ends brands generally make you buy the deployant seperately bothers people. I know that for some, the comfort of the deployant is an...

Some do, some don't and some do offer it as an upgrade giving the choice.

I think it really depends on the watch (sometimes it is better or worse for balance) and the brand - some make really terrible deployant buckles. In the case of GS, I have very mixed feelings as I don't particularly like theirs (it ends up being very thic...

I like deployant clasps. Comfy, and secure my watch do not hit a floor. Not all my watches have it, because my purist way want to keep all original as can be. Next to this i commit, when i would wear a Rolex Submariner, i want a rubber strap on it. ...

Almost universally uncomfortable for me. So doesn’t bother me at all.

I generally like them and I am happy to get with a watch. I wouldn't pay thousands to get a precious metal one though. Speaking as Seiko moderator I agree GS deployants are uncomfortable and thick, as you said. However the Credor and high end Seikos have ...

I prefer pin buckles.

My wrist swells when I am warm and the watch becomes uncomfortably tight. I am able to adjust the pin quickly while on the wrist. Deployant clasps I have seen usually need precision screw driver or to be taken off completely to adjust. So it is pin buckle...

When I go my BALL cannonball, it was on a tango bucket.

I randomly drop an email to ball watch swiss HQ requesting for cost of an deployant bucket and they gave me a free one! That was a wonder gesture consider that the cannonball cost less than $5k.
