My first Seiko but not my last. Getting ready for the summer games opening ceremony later today. Anyone else with a 5719 here? ...

I believe this was Seiko\'s first chronograph made in 1964. It was made for that year only as Tokyo was hosting the summer games and Seiko wanted to show they were a serious watchmaker. There are a few iterations of this reference 5719, all very nice but ... 

While I don't have that very same vintage Seiko . . .

They also produced a world timer for the same event and IIRC a stopwatch that inspired the later Izul series
