. . . a bad thing. Well, maybe not that bad. But it was a case of instant lust. The only hitch is that I have to wait a week for it to be delivered. 😛 ...

Beautiful!

I remember you had said you'd be interested in getting a King Seiko in a similar color. This is, obviously, even better........ Cheers, Filip

Thanks, Filip! Seriously, I was about to get the KS . . .

. . . but when I saw this GS in the metal, all caution flew out the window. Art

That's precisely why....

I don't go to see expensive things too often ........

I usually have no problem with self-control . . .

. . . but not this time ;-) . . .

Well done👌#293?

 By: Bobbe : May 27th, 2023-19:22

Yup, SBGW293 . . .

 By: Dr No : May 27th, 2023-19:28
. . . in da house!

Well, almost😂

 By: Bobbe : May 27th, 2023-19:31

In my house next Thursday, . . .

. . . in Seiko's 'til then . . .

SBGW001? . . .

. . . here's a photo taken fifteen years ago of Cazalea's . . . . . . on my wrist. ...

#231

 By: Bobbe : May 27th, 2023-20:19

Thanks for the update. I suppose SBGW231 is an update . . .

 By: Dr No : May 27th, 2023-20:23
. . . on SBGW001 - is that correct, or are there significant differences other than dial print? Curiously, Art

Thanks for the info, Bobbe. I take it, though, that the case . . .

 By: Dr No : May 28th, 2023-18:05
. . . is essentially identical, and that 231 is an update on 001. (Dial script aside, of course.) Art

👍

If GS had asked me to design a watch, the outcome would've been . . .

 By: Dr No : May 27th, 2023-20:14
. . . very close to this. I might've asked for a bit more brushing, but that's about it. Art

I don´t see any bad thing here my dear Art. Sometimes we should follow our whims I feel. You did so well.

 By: Subexplorer : May 27th, 2023-19:33
I´m sure you will enjoy it so much. Well done! I specially love the so clean dial with no inscriptions than brand name and logo. GS makes some wonderful watches. Best, Abel.

Well, I'm buying a car soon, too, so maybe . . .

. . . I shouldn't have been so quick on the draw. But as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Art

GS 44's case design proliferates throughout . . .

. . . Grand Seiko's current production, but apparently not in this smaller 36.5 mm size. My recently departed SBGH 279 . . . . . . is significantly larger, at least on my wrist. Art ...

. . . this GS is right there with the Flightmaster . . . . . . when it comes to pushing all my buttons. Warmest, Art ...

It'll match . . .

. . . many of my pool cues, . . . . . . that's for sure! ...

Honduran rosewood and sycamore . . .

. . . with buffalo horn trim. The shaft . . . . . . is bocote. And quite possibly the first bocote shaft ever made, anywhere. ...

Perfect music to read Dr. No's post!

My 289 says hello ...

I wonder if GS sells the bracelet . . .

 By: Dr No : May 28th, 2023-18:00
. . . separately? The supplied strap for mine is a touch long, and the boutique confirmed they have short straps available. Perhaps the bracelet would be a better way to go. Art

That is a good question…

 By: takman : May 31st, 2023-13:16
I’ll just say the bracelet is a bit of a pain to switch out if you do find one and it lacks any micro adjustments. It’s a nice bracelet but nothing too special about it and I believe the strap is more historically accurate.

Elegant looking.
