Got talking to my dad the other day about his old seiko diver. I remember him buying it when I was a kid sometime in the late 70s. It transpires he still has it, has never serviced it, still keeps it on the original strap and used it to go diving as recently as last year. Not bad going for an old workhorse.

If not mistaken he bought it around 1975.
He says it keeps good time and whilst I’m horrified at the thought he would go anywhere near water with it he did dive last year whilst wearing it. 45 years and still going strong, along with the same original strap is quite the achievement
