I do enjoy reading the marketing language behind their design reasoning, otherwise I never would have made the connection between a 'lion's forelegs' and the case.

I love the GS design in general but....

I do not like the proportions...too thick and large to my taste. Why the need to make the watch so big

The chrono movement is quite large; that's the bottom line

The only one that's smaller is the non-GMT version from GS, SBGB001, at 44 x 14 or SBGB003 ...  

I really like many of the Grand Seiko offerings...

...but they really need to get on a Jenny Craig program and slim things down a bit. Anyone can build a thick watch. If they want to truly play with the big boys they need to demonstrate that they have the engineering expertise to make a slimmer movement a...

Japanese brands spend a lot of time on symbolism, history, etc....

I for one actually LOVE this watch. I love the colors, the execution and I actually love the case shape and use of materials. Yes i think it would be perfect slimmed down to a svelte 42.5mm but id love it at these dimensions. The real issue is the price t...

As a fan of all things GS, I desperately want to like their chronographs. Unfortunately, I just can't get my head around the sub-dial configuration. I like this piece, but the sub-dial layout just feels alien to me. Am I the only one who feels this way?
