I was thinking exactly the same thing. I really like it but not at this price. At 1.500 euro I would buy it. Rather get another speedmaster at this price or a vintage datejust.

Both are automatic, I think they look nice, I haven't read the article yet but I think they're expensive Will read the article later ...

¥380,000=$3,555.10 ¥350,000=$3,274.43 I like them both, but I'm partial to the SARK015.

Here's the back of the SBEC005 (couldn't find a case back photo for the SARK015)

Both have sapphire glass case backs though according to the specs. Both are limited editions of 1,000 units each. They both have "box sapphire" front crystals as well. Photo credit: Seiko Japan ...

I like it a lot

but overall finishing does not seem to match with the price tag - end links seem to be pretty “rough”. For half the price it would be perfect

Does the second one have a plastic bezel like the 1964 Olympic chronograph? Also, is Seiko the official timekeeper in the 2020 olympics or is it Omega?

Would love either

but very expensive at the asking prices. I don’t think they’ll have a problem shifting them though

What a price tag...

I find both models visually very appealing but the prices are ....daring. It is part of Seiko's strategy to move upwards in terms of positioning its product suite, and I am curious how it works out.
