It was a modern interpretation of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics chronographs and it really is superbly well adapted to the role π
I wasn't even aware of the Izul until a year ago. It might be the ultimate tongue in cheek example of "it's just a Seiko". A little bit reminiscent of the amazing hinged Eterna/PD 1000m diver.
I'm continuously impressed with everything Seiko. Really loving my latest (just a) Seiko... ...

Talking about big watches, in my eyes the Izul is one of the best at the very top
...in terms of design and build. It's beautiful and sensible, well proportioned and justifying its large case and dial.
