Would need to know if the guilloche pattern is done by hand with a rose engine : stamped or laser engraved would be a no-go at that price point!

my biggest gripe
Is that it doesn't have a screw down crown. Rolex has always meant ultimate peace of mind and versatility of use to me, for that reason the lack of a screw down crown is a real bummer, especially on an automatic!
It‘s 50m water resistant - more than enough for this kind of a Platinum watch.
Basically screw down crowns are good for sport watches, but even there not a must have feature with today‘s seals…

this one would be more of a party piece! Movement might be qualified as 'slightly plain' at this price level but this is a cool original piece from the Crown I would say go for it - it is more relevant then a Platona IMO

And these platinum 1908 are nowhere to be seen! Not even a display piece in sight.. Has anyone seen one of these in the wild and better yet actually been allocated one? I guess they are having a hard time making these guilloche dials with the rose engine?...

That’s promising if they have started delivering pieces. Haven’t seen any display pieces or photos of incoming anywhere. Ads I asked all said none has arrived and delayed.
