I know, I believe they didn't expect that either...I'm following the updates quite closely from newspapers and family/friends since I'm from Genova, which is an hour or so South.
The situation is naturally very fluid at the moment, but using obvious precautions, I probably wouldn't worry too much in Milano. Hope you'll enjoy your vacation and that gorgeous city as much as possible! Cheers.
