I was very close to picking one up at my AD last year but I had to admit to myself that I would always reach for the blue BB 58 out of my box when opting for a blue Tudor so I finally declined.

Do you mean you can only use a NATO strap or one that folds around a pin which is fixed in place? Or are the straps retained by the pin which is pressed in from one side and retained by friction? Or is the pin screwed into place? I can't tell from the pho...

Fixed spring bars mean fixed. Yes none removable. Only Nato style straps will fit. So like the Rolex 5513/5517 Mil sub where they were welded into the case for the MOD. Hope that clears it up. M. ...
