That was some awesome aircraft. The fuselage of an old Caravelle, giant wings even bigger engines.
Mach 1 or 2 you actually don't feel it. The indicator tells you you have just gone from 0.9 to 1.1 but thats more or less it. Obviously you can't hear it either coz that's all happening "behind" you.
It's funny to realize that the speed of sound isn't constant. The lower the you are, the higher the airspeed at which you "break" the barrier.

When you hit a golf club it exerts high g forces on any watch. I never wear a watch when playing golf however with this Rolex I don’t even realize it’s on my wrist. It’s old, it’s never been serviced, it’s seen 65,000 ft and Mach 2 in a fighter jet, scuba...
Mach 2... I can just imagine what this must feel like
Unfortunately, I never got to experience the civilian version of such speeds. A small regret, that I might get to fulfill in the coming years if new technology is launched ...
