I took only one watch for my trip, my Tudor Pelagos LHD, and of course was wearing it. I made it a point to show the staff my watch, thinking that if they had one or two or more Rolex watches in the back, it might open a door for me. Clearly, it did not,

When I showed the lady my watch on the Tudor side, she smiled and said "Ahhh, a LHD!" I asked if she had any in stock, and she said no. I then asked to see the Black Bay 58. She said these were very hard to get, and the store did not have any. My last request was to see the new Black Bay Black Chronograph. Sadly, she said they did not have this watch, either.

Such is life!

They have next to zero stock, and their attitude is indifferent at best, smug at worst.

True

I guess it's a vicious circle: no stock means disgruntled customers, and it eventually rubs off on the staff
