Ofcourse I am going to like your collection. Its first class. Not only will 99% of the worlds population never own such a collection because of the monetary
value, but much more importantly they will not own it because it takes much passion and knowledge to build something like that up. Thats what I like about your collection. You can tell its thought through. A 5508? Not on the list of most collectors but for me a MUST have in a sub collection!
A 5512 PCG, exclaimation mark- surely only a connoisseur will buy this. And a 6200? Well. What can I say. A dream.
In my opinion though a theme would look different. I would have replaced your non-gilt with a 6505. Then its a theme. Or a 6536 red depth. Or a 5512 Explorer dial. Or 5512 square crown guards. Then its a theme. This is my personal opinion. Maybe it is also because I dont care for ANY submariner with date. No matter how rare. Double red, single red. It all doesn't matter. For me a sub MUST be gilt. Thats my personal taste though.
Btw it is pretty apparant we have the same taste in subs (except for the non-gilt).

ps: I don't mind waiting. I am very patient. Nicolas is the only person other than myself- who I would love to see own a 6200. He would be a great caretaker for this watch- his passion alone deserves it. So Nicolas can be before me in the waiting line. But I hope I come right after....

.....an interesting point you make there...yes, i think originally SDs were a part of the Submariner group. But i think over time they have morphed into a reference all of their own...so i excluded them from the theme!

Joe & Nicolas, Perhaps you can help. I just came across a 5508 that is a 4-liner. SCOC below submariner also in silver like the meters rating. How rare are those? I have never seen or heard of a 5508 4liner up until now. Thank you for your answers, Ed...
