The interwebs is chattering about date calendar/date wheel issues with the new Tudor Black Bay GMT

Oct 15, 2018,19:40 PM

Buzz going around is that for a subset of these watches (total number not known) the date doesn't turn to the next date correctly.

Sometimes the date advances way earlier than midnight like between 22:00 and 23:00, sometimes the date advances 1.5 days and the date is halfway in the window.

Any owners here have first hand experience with these issues?

Teething issues with the new GMT complication?  Recall, the same base movement is used with date only and date + power reserve and I haven't heard any problems with these.  I have a Tudor North Flag with cal. MT5621 their first in-house movement and no issues.

I was one of the very first people to get the Tudor BB GMT in the US (circa June 2018), so I have presumably a very early production watch. I wear my watches for a week or two, then rotate what I wear so that I wear each watch fairly equally and regularly...

The issue hopefully isn't affecting your watch. Even if it does, you can use the warranty to get it fixed. I'm pretty sure Tudor is either repairing the faulty ones under warranty and/or redesigning/replacing the faulty part(s) so future production watche...
