Had the Daytona, found it unusable as a chrono

because of the locking pushers, and the small subdials, and not so good as a watch either because of the hour and minute hands being hard to read.

I don't care for the Jubilee or the pepsi bezel, so I would pass on both. Life's too short to live with a Rolex that's not exactly how you like it.

Or I would take one, sell it, and get a white dial Explorer instead. Or a Day Date Oysterquartz with white dial.

(No I wouldn't take a Prince)

The iconic duo: which one would you choose?

I don’t need to introduce these watches... sorry for the typical Instagram picture ! 😄 But let’s say you have the opportunity to pick one of these, which one would you choose? Thanks! Fx ...

Daytona!

Simply because you can still buy a nice 1675 at "reasonable" price, which is so much nicer than the modern version.

Well...

I prefer the old steel bezel Daytona. And the old blue and black GMT. ...

Daytona.

Not my dream watch, because F.P. Journe steal my heart. If i had to chose between two F.P. Journe’s, it is an other story.

Daytona for me. [nt]

That is a very interesting question

Overall, and disregarding which version I like GMTs so much more than the Daytonas. However, if I was to add a GMT, I would choose an earlier version depending on my wallet. I feel they are getting worse by every iteration. I don’t think that is the case ...

+1! [nt]

Pepsi for me. [nt]

Why you selected these two watches is the question...

 By: cshimokita : November 19th, 2019-15:16
and for me you hit a couple of personal prejudice buttons... I prefer white dial with a date and GMT is one of my least favorite complications. If pressed I would choose the chronograph because I already have a white dial Yacht Master. OTOH I would be hap...

I am not a chrono guy, so it

would have to be the GMT for me.

Super tough choice but I'd have to go for the Pepsi...

I like to see a little pop of color from the bezel and the shine from the jubilee bracelet. Very smile inducing. The Daytona is obviously a visual masterpiece but I think the Pepsi would have more staying power with me.

16710 or 116520

 By: seanggu : November 19th, 2019-21:32
The new Rolex watches don’t appeal to me. They seem too flashy and trendy. Go for a nice 16710 or 116520.

Daytona all day long. Jubilee on sports watch ???? To me it's a confused Rolex.

Not sure what it is. So Daytona just because it has the correct bracelet on and because it’s stunning looking. M.

Daytona

Scarcity, status and so much harder to get than the GMT, I was very lucky to get one in July in Geneva.

Honestly..... and this might not be appreciated

For the price these are sold for today.... second hand I would seriously consider selling them both and buy a another watch 16 for the gmt, 22 for the Daytona Both good and nice watches but for 16 and 22 you can buy some serious stuff.... and definitely i...

In my opinion

It depends on the watches you already have in your collection. I myself would end up the new Batman over those two because I already have 116520. Which one of those two watches smiles more broadly to you is the correct choice.

Not a fan of loud colored

watches. So Daytona all the way.

Quite easy for me in this case - GMT Master

 By: Boris : November 20th, 2019-20:56
I have seen both watches, and while the latest iteration of the Daytona is nice, I can't get past the polished center link on the bracelet. Which is basically the reason why I don't wear my 116520 and 16520 anymore. It's just too shiny for my taste, and b...
